I have I new Dimension 8400 and, on the first day, accessed the PC Restore Image by using Ctrl-F11. Then, I started having trouble with the Hard Drive (wouldn't boot properly). Tech Support came up with a work around, but I am afraid it hasn't fixed the underlying problem. For instance, When I run Hard Drive Diagnostics (from the Boot DriveMenu) it recoginzes Drive 0 as being my Maxtor 6Y160MO, However, It lists Drive 1, 2 and 3 as: "no device". Drive 4 and 5 are recognized as my CD & DVD drives. I have only one hard drive!! So, something is still basically wrong.
To further substaniate my problem with boot problems, I can no longer access the PC Restore Image by pressing Ctrl-F11. I did it with no problem the first day I had the machine. Now, no matter how often I try it ignores the key strokes and goes right into Windows.
Is there any other way to access the PC Restore Image?
Many thanks. I think I understand what "Drive 1, 2 and 3 with "no device"" means. The three unsed HD connectors on the mother board are unoccupied - is that right? Bummer that the PC Restore Image is now unavailable to me. Cannot understand what caused that.

Hi,
Please remember Dim 8400 had 4 SATA Drive plus the standard PATA connector, thats why it shows cd rom in drive 4 and 5.
there is no other way to trigger the utility partition.
Hope it works.
