Cannot boot from cd

8200 2 years old
Went bonkers.
Was avail one minute next minute it was gone.
While it was avail. I did a format of c drive, but that did not work because as soon as it went into a restart, it was never avail again.

Cannot use Safe Mode hangs up When I boot from CD it says Setup is inspecting your settings.
After all are loaded, it says Windows is Starting.  But it does nothing, just sits there with screen.

Any ideas

Getting desperate

Disconnect first all the connected devices like printers, scanners, etc. Then if that wouldn't work, try checking the the BIOS for the bootsequences. Make sure that the first boot device is CDROM or just make sure that the CDROM is detected by the BIOS

Someone else saved me. It was my Belkin USB\Firewire board. I removed it and my system came back up into windows.
