My CD/DVD drive won't hold any disks I insert. I put in the disk, it starts to read the disk, and it ejects it. It also makes a sound like the disk is being disentigrated. Is this just a bad drive, or is it something more serious?
You could try removing the drive, and double-checking the cable connections etc?
However, it does sound more like a problem with the drive itself - rather than anything which can be fixed by jiggling cables, or simply reinstalling drivers, so I reckon your best option, would be to call Dell tech support?
