I am technologically ignorant. I got (on a friends advice0 a Sony/Optiarc AD-7190A CD/DVD-RW for my Dimensions 3000, and cannot find any information on how to install it. It came with NO instructions. can anyone help?

Set the jumper on the drive to the Cable Select position. The jumper block willlook something like this .............

There should be some markings or indicator on the drive to identify the CableSelect position.
