Hi Everyone,

I am working with my AIX person doing some testing on extending an AIX masked LUN.

The original LUN was made up of 2 TDEVs into a Meta each piece being 10GB, so it was a 20 GB LUN.

AIX person did what he needed to do to get the LUN into a VG and all and its usable.

Now we are trying to see if we can extend this LUN without taking downtime.

I added an addtional 10GB TDEV to the meta.

My AIX person is only able to see the 20GB not the 30GB he should be seeing. It is a concatinated LUN on VMAX.

Here is some output from the AIX system

VIO:

padmin@servername] /

$ bootinfo -s hdiskpower1

19200

[padmin@servername] /

$ cfgmgr

[padmin@servername] /

$ bootinfo -s hdiskpower1

19200

LPAR:

[root@testlpar] /root

# chvg -g appvg

0516-1382 chvg: Volume group is not changed. None of the disks in the

        volume group have grown in size.

0516-732 chvg: Unable to change volume group appvg.

We are runing in a VIO configuration.
