DELL OMSA 6.4 Question
Good morning everyone!
I have some production SQL servers that need to have OMSA 6.4.0 installed on them. My question is:
Does this software require a restart when installing?
The Operating Systems are:
WINDOWS SERVER 2003 R2 SP2
WINDOWS SERVER 2008 R2 Enterprise
Thanks in advance everyone!

Well, I was not aware that 6.5 was out...we have several servers on 6.4.0 already...I was just thinking standardize.

I'm curious as to why you would want to install 6.4 rather than 6.5....

It depends on the server. On most 8th generation (1800, 2800, 2850, etc) servers and newer, a reboot is not required. However, I have seen rarely it require a reboot before it loads ... may be due to particular software or other configurations.
