IT-Assistant's SQLserver 2000, Concurrent query optimization message...

When do I do when about 15 times a minute, I get this error in the SQLserver log, and the Event Viewer:

"This SQL Server has been optimized for 8 concurrent queries.  This limit has been exceeded by X queries and performance may be adversley affected"

"X" is a number usually between 1 and 5.

This is a limitation of the Microsoft Desktop Engine.  It is designed for 8 concurrent connections and ITA at full speed is designed for 32 connections.  The message is one of the ticklers that doesn't actually indicate a problem, but prompts you to the limitation.  MS hopes you will install SQL server.  Alternatively, you could slow the discovery or ignore the errors.
