ITA doesn't detct ANYTHING

I can't get ITA to detect more than 6 machines here.  The 6 it does find are GX240's.  I have run configservices.exe  t turn on EVERY protocol, and still nothing.  Some machines are 2K, some XP and some XPSP2.  Please help! :)

    Hi,

We had the same problems with the new IT Assistant, it discovered about 1/3 of all our servers. We ended up creating a list of all nodes and using the importnodelist.exe utility.

    Regards,

    Roland.

In order to discover the systems they need to be running client instrumentation and IT Assistant must be configured to discover via CIM (Common information Model)

We already had configured SNMP on all our server systems. Only exception is we configured SNMP to be read only but this should not be disturbing the discovery in my opinion. The IT Assistant is configured to use a domain administrator account to do the CIM discovery.

With the new IT Assistant release I decided to get rid of the old database and start using a new one. But the database only contained 30 of our 120 systems after the first discovery cycle. After creating a list of server and using the import utility it discovered the systems.
