problem connection

Dear Support,

we install the unity400 Storage. After we configured the IP with the usb key, it is done successful.

when i connect in graphical with the IP of SPA it is oK and in configuration I see the mac adresse of network card for the management port, but for the SPB the ping and the connection is not OK, there is no mac adress when i check by the SPA graphical. After some test I can connect on SPB but SPA is not available also and there is no mac adress. It is only one connection which is possible?

it is normal ?

Thank you wonrx for your feedback.

When we configured with usb key the 2 SP, we put them in the same network. for exemple : SPA: xx.xx.xx.40 and           SPB: xx.xx.xx.41

we must put the same IP address  on both the 2 SP ?

how can I change the IP of one SP, it is the part interface (Sync Replication Management Port)?

You are confusing a Unity perhaps with a VNX?

Unity only has one management interface which floats between both SPs, depending on which is the primary.

There is ONLY one IP for Unity management.

You need to follow the setup guides carefully.

Is it possible to shed some light on the logic being used in selection of iscsi initiator path selection between SP A ports , there are two ports marked port 2 and port3 on Dell unity 300 for 10GB connection. Say we have one initiator with four paths, two for SP A and two for SP B with two VLANS , VLAN 3 and VLAN 4. So VLAN 3 is available on port 2 of SP A and SP B , VLAN 4 on port 3 of SP A and SP B. In all we have total 4 initiators and 16 paths.
