Assuming you're talking about Ad-Aware from Lavasoft, it's "safe" (i.e., legitimate), but not recommended by most folks here. If you want a free anti-"malware" program to supplement your Norton, we believe you'd be far better off with the free versions of MalwareBytes AntiMalware and/or SUPERAntiSpyware.
