Goggle.com!?

I think that is what I punched in the URL line (or whatever it is called) near the top of the pagewhen I was pulling up Google. Guess I should just install the toolbar. Anyway...some kind of scan started on my computer without my advice and consent and I had to close out MSN to disconnect from the Net. :smileysurprised:
I think I read somewhere that Goggle.com is not a good thing and does not play nice with computers. However, when I went to Google and tried to punch in the URL above it did not find anything. Is it a slightly different spelling of Goggle. I think the invasive scan was supposedly doing a virus scan, but all I had done was type in the wrong site address. Did not punch go or start or hit any buttons...that I remember. Any info or ideas will greatly appreciated  :smileywink:

Goggle.com may be a rogue site.  What you wanted is propably Google.com. Typos can do great harm.  To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

Seems they like to purchase domain names all around the common ones; "http://www.googole.com" also brings up a search style page. I think it's clear, but wouldn't recommend visiting it just in case.

    Well,

As for me, I found goggle.com has a serious virus that is threatening to anyone who entered the webpage. So you must be careful.
