HiJack This Feedback

I was trying to download some software, and in the process downloaded some spyware or virus or God knows what.

Anyway my desktop would start to flash (ie the icons would disappear and reappear) and wouldn't respond to any input from the mouse. So I restarted, and had the same problems immediately upon reload. I tried control alt del, to see what processess were running, and found the list would add and remove various processes, most or all of which I didn't recognise. In particular I noticed the file nail.exe appearing and disappearing from the list, I tried ending the process, but some error message kept coming up. (I have the added bonus of Chinese Windows!)

After searching on the web, I found a lot of info on how to deal with this problem. In the end I followed the instructions and here's the log files of what happened.

    Hello and Welcome Jungle Jim,

Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:

    Bullseye Network
    NewDotNet

The above could appear anywhere within the entry. Be careful not to remove any personal or system software.

Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {02EE5B04-F144-47BB-83FB-A60BD91B74A9} - C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3\SskBho.dll (file missing)

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [New.net Startup] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~2.DLL,NewDotNetStartup -s
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Internet Optimizer] "C:\Program Files\Internet Optimizer\optimize.exe"
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sac] c:\program files\180searchassistant\sac.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BullsEye Network] C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network\bin\bargains.exe

Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders:

        C:\Program Files\Internet Optimizer
        c:\program files\180searchassistant
        C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network
        C:\Program Files\WeirdOnTheWeb
        C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3
        C:\Program Files\Serials3k

    files...

        C:\WINDOWS\system32\conime.exe
        C:\WINDOWS\AuroraHandler.dll
        C:\WINDOWS\system32\agt9u21h.exe
        C:\WINDOWS\ncpyxib.exe

    Search for...

        msxct.exe

    ...using "Start | Search...".

    -

Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them from "Safe Mode".

Please post a fresh hijackthis log and the complete log. I could not find what your OS was so I assumed it was Windows XP( with SP2) but I cannot verify what version of HJT you are using.
