Lop is a determined adware pest...I missed one entry though so I'll share the lack of success with SuperantiSpyware. We have more work to do, but you will get it cleaned and back to playing RuneScape without any problems. *;-) 

 

Copy and paste into WordPad the following instructions (to quickly start WordPad type the word write at the Start/Run box) and print out these cleanup steps. One of the links you may need to print out or jot down notes (flushing System Restore).

 

Boot to Safe Mode and run HijackThis.

Close HJT and run Windows Explorer (right click on Start button and left click on the word Explore).

 

Navigate to the two folders in red above and delete the entire folder and subcontents. Do not delete Program Filer or Programdata folders...only the ones in red.

 

Close Windows Explorer and immediately empty the Recycle Bin.

 

Deactivate Screensaver and at Start/Run type: cleanmgr  

 

Run Disk Cleanup and clean all files in check boxes. If you have maintenance files for MS Office leave that box unchecked. Otherwise all must go. It should run for quite a while if you haven't used it before. It will leave your screen when completed.

 

Reboot to normal mode Windows.

 

Run Spybot and click Mode
Select Advanced Mode.
Then click Tools and select Resident.
Now in the right window pane, uncheck TeaTimer.
In the left column now select IE Tweaks
In the right pane make sure all the Miscellaneous locks are unchecked.

 

Get updates for Spybot, but don't run it. Make sure you have the latest Spybot version, but don't re-enable Tea Timer.

 

Download Ad-Aware 2007. Install it and get updates. Don't run it yet.

 

Get latest definitions for Trend, but don't run a scan yet.

 

Download Java Version 6 update 6. Uninstall ALL older Java versions in Add/Remove Programs and then install Version 6 update 6. 

 

Turn off System Restore   (we will flush it and turn it back on after cleaning)

 

Reboot to Safe Mode and run Spybot first, then Ad-Aware 2007. Let them fix everything they find.  Finish up with a full scan in TrendMicro.

 

Reboot to normal mode, run a fresh HJT log and post it here with any comments about your progress.

 

This is a long cleanup for you, but it will be worth it.
