Win 7 shutdown/reboot problem

Windows 7, which is no longer supported, is suddenly not allowing some users to shut down or reboot their computers. When they try, they get an error message: “You don’t have permission to shut-down this computer.”

A temporary work-around:

  • Create another admin account and log into it.
  • Log into the default admin account again.
  • Shut down or restart as you normally would.

No indications when/if Microsoft will fix this new Win 7 issue...
