sql 2012 22000 IOPS
Hi,
i am new to emc and i am looking for some advice on the setup of our 5500. we have a requirement for an sql database to have up to 22000 iops and we are also looking to use the fast vp. we would like to to mix 2 types of drives in one group. i was thinking 10 200gb SSD drives and 8 1TB 10K sas drives (to accommodate other servers).
Is it possible to to add 10 SSD and 8 qtb drives to create a pool?
If this is possible i was thinking of presenting 2 2TB luns to my vmware system. once workloads are running the fast vp will detect and move high used blocks to the ssd tier? Have i got this totally wrong or am i on the correct track?
thanks
