VNX 5300 memory configuration problem

Hello,

I've got a problem, today, configuring the memory of a VNX 5300.

When I go to the cache memory configuration window, I cannot see the memory available and instead of the figures, I've got an "N/A" text concerning the available, used and free memory. And I cannot make any configuration of the cache memory.

I couldn't change anything even after rebooting the controlers twice.

It is the first time I see that sort of problem. What do you think ?

The VNX is in 5.31.000.5.714 Flare version and I am using the Unisphere Client version 1.2.0.1.0556 for windows on my Laptop with IE9.

Thanks for your help and Regards

According to the help files in Unisphere the N/A means that your array is not supported...

I was wondering if this is a new install, and if so have all the neccesary enablers been loaded on the system...

    Block Oe

    unisphere

    and so on...

    Hello,

It is OK now, I can configure the cache memory. I've updated the Unisphere version to 5.31...720 and I've reconfigured the backend bus speed. I can only use Firefox and not IE9. BYE

Just after the unisphere version update, I still couldn't configure the cache memory numbers and I wanted to test something. When I reseted the backend bus speed with the wizard, it gave me the access to the configuration.

I don't know exactly why this reset alllowed me to configure the cache memory but maybe it resets also other devices in the SP of the VNX.
