VSI and VNX OE 05.32

I've noticed the following issues with VSI 5.3 and VNX OE 05.32, and am wondering if anyone else has either experienced the same issues and/or come up with solutions for them:

- the Storage Management plug-in fails when there are mixed-RAID type storage pools, giving an error in the logs that the RAID type = MIXED is an invalid type

- when executing any operations leveraging the VSI, multiple NaviCLI pop-up windows open up. This occurs with the latest NaviCLI installed, as well as the previous rev. I haven't had this happen before with VSI 5.3 or other NaviCLI versions and older VNX OE or FLARE code versions.

Has anyone seen these, or have any workarounds?

Please contact EMC support to get latest SE hotfix(7.4.0.6 or later) to address this issue:

Please uninstall the old Solution Enabler from Control Panel and manually remove the folder: “C:\Program Files\EMC\SYMAPI” first, and install the new Solution Enabler((7.4.0.6) or later).

opend a case, got the new version and no more navicli popups.

It's only very slow, takes a minute or two to update the info.

disabling the auto-update speeds things up a lot.

disabling auto-update solved that performance issue.

Only thing that is't working now is provisioning, it's detecting raidgroups and pools on our CX4 but on our VNX running Inyo it's detecting raidgroups but it's giving an error while detecting pools.

will upload .zip with log files.

It's a known issue for the compatibility with latest VNX code, please wait for several days till VSI 5.3 Patch postered to PowerLink.

Any plans to support NFS VDM's in the new version.

Have done some testing and VSI doesn't recognize my NFS VDM exports, non VDM NFS exports are doing fine.

Thanks for raising this issue! Currently VSI doesn't support NFS VDM, which will be listed in the future release.

If this function is important to you, please open SR to escalate, thanks!
