Audio jumping

When playing audio files the sound keeps jumping every 30-60 seconds. If I play music directly from cd everything is fine. I have a new Dimension 9200 with 2 gig of ram and on board audio.
 
Anyone got any ideas.

    try going into speaker properties and disable enhansments it worked on my inspiron
