I select ‘notify me but don’t download and install’ on my WinXP SP2 automatic update but I found out that it will install the updates even offline when I tried to get rid of the automatic notification icon in task bar (which would be disappear if I tried to install in offline mode in SP1)

 

-where are the downloaded files? As I couldn’t find it in my harddisk.

-how to get rid of the automatic icon and the downloaded files?
