Sysytem was working fine. After a restart I rec'd the "blue screen". I have not added or changed any software or hardware recently. I cannot start up in the safe mode and I cannot go back to the last known good configuration. The basics of the message is as follows:
Unmountable_Boot_ Volume
Disable Bios memory options such as caching or shadowing.

Thanks for your help. When I followed your suggestion I got a message that said"26%complete, The volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems" I've tried to boot into the safe mode, the safe mode with DOS, and go back to last good configuation and can't get to any of them. I'm having bad thoughts about what I might have to do to fix this problem. Thanks once again!
