Ensure that your antivirus software has been fully updated with the most recent virus and worm definitions, and perform a complete system scan. If this does not resolve the error, you may also need to run an excess software removal tool on your system such as
AdAware or
SpyBot.
If that does not help, try a repair of Internet Explorer using the instructions within the following Dell Knowledge Base article:
Hi. I'm experiencing this same problem. I just got my new Inspiron and everything looks great except graphics that are on webpages. I've even saved the images from websites and opened them in other programs and they look fine. So the problem is definitely in the browser.
What I did discover is that they are slightly smaller when saved. So it seems that Internet Explorer is trying to make the images slightly larger. So they come out all distorted. Are there settings that can be checked?
Oddly enough, this problem *can* be caused by an over-full TIF directory as Denny Denham found when I asked him to check out a website I was working on. He found deleting the Temporary Internet Files resolved the issue. May be worth checking...
