I am unable to install any new software anymore, I have available space, my system meets he requirements, it appears that the software is "being downloded" but when it comes to installing it, nothing shows up. Does anyone know why?
I came across a machine behaving like this only this week - in the end I did a rebuild and that sorted the problem (having saved all important files etc first). BUT it did occur to me later that maybe the one user account that I could get at was set to something lower than administrator status. Its something that I would look out for next time I encounter this!

A common mistake made by many first time users on the forums, is that with little or no information provided,
(e.g. type of 'system one is using, Which o.s. is being used [xp/win98/2000 etc.] How the problem is occuring, or any error messages shown, and so on)
An answer can be provided to solve a problem.
I have available space How much space? How big a harddrive?
my system meets the requirements What are the requirements? What are your system specs?
it appears that the software is "being downloded" Does this mean the "download Complete window shows up?
but when it comes to installing it, nothing shows up. Is it possible this is installed in a temp file?
Did you "search" for it on your harddrive? Do you get any type of message after the install?
