CanoScan N14OU

Hey guys, to make a long story short, my xp installation on my dimension 2400 was so slow. so i decided to try vista. not so bad, i get aero, things load decently fast. overal the pc's performance performs well for its age. anyways. i have a canoscan N124OU scanner. Vista recognizes it, and it works. BUT, i have no photo scanning program to actually scan photos. I used PhotoStudio 2000 before to scan my photos. I know for a fact that wont work with vista. Are there any decent free scanning utilities out there?

The free GiMP has scanning facilities built in.
