hi,

i ran a check disc option on my C:/ from "my computer",  as i heard of hard drives being shipped out being corrupt,

now my 4 day old computer, has died,

 

basically what happens is, when i turn it on, instead of running vista, it checks the disc for errors,

it then freezes at stage 4/5 at 14 percent,

 

ive tried skipping the disc check, as it gives you 10 seconds to press any key to cancel,

but no matter, how many keys i press, it still ignores me and does its disc check and crashes, so i cant even load vista, and access my files.

 

my keyboard works, as i am able to access the bios settings, so that cant be it.

 

any idea's how i can cancel that fatal disc check ? or stop it from crashing.
