I've been having a problem with my computer for the past 2-3 months. I have a full service warranty with Dell but everytime I call them they take me through one hundred different things that solve nothing and waste about 5 hours of my day. I need to tell them exactly what I need so someone can just come and fix it.
My problem is that after about an hour or sometimes up to 4-5 hours of being on, my computer freezes up. Usually it is accompanied by a loud humming noise coming from the inside of the computer tower.
I am really sick and tired of this problem and since I do have a full service warranty, these Dell people should do something about it.
If anyone has any help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
could it because the CPU too hot inside? try to take off the casing and take a fan blows toward your motherboard and see the problem still happen again. Cheer!!
i am having the same problem after my computer is on for a while - reinstalled everything 4 times - not running the same program everytime it happens - task manager shows CPU usage at 50% and up even if everything is closed - i restarted my computer twice after it slows and it is the same after - tonight it ran okay for half hour and it started as i was typing this -can barely move my mouse - i'm fed up - wish i could send it back
