Constant Windows Media Player library corruption

Hi,
I'm having issues with Windows Media Player and the library database.  I'm posting here because the more I read the more I find the WMP is tightly tied to the OS ( Vista in my case ).

I get a message that my WMP library database is corrupt and WMP will "search for music in the background".  Well it never finds anything, because I don't think it tries, the drive light doesn't flicker, and leaving it open over night finds no music.  I've open/closed/opened WMP, rebooted, and searched for similar issues.
I found a way to "fix" the database here
I found a blog by a WMP programer here ( a WMP programerr ).  So I clear the database and I'm able to see my music again... for about a day.  Then the "library corruption" happens again.

The lastest WMP at microsoft's offical site says it's older than the installed version.  So that doesn't help...

Does anybody else have a similar issue?  Any idea's?

Thanks,

I'm speculating that maybe you regularly visit a website in you web browser that has some WMP components embedded in it for sound, or maybe even for video but probably not (I've had no problems with video corrupting the WMP library on my computer), and this is somehow corrupting the library every time you visit the site.

I do go to a "freefm" radio website (hosted by radiomat) regularly.  You suggestion makes sence, tho.  Unfortunataly, this didn't happen on my old latidude.

    umm....

Thanks I'll look in this direction,
