Ever since I have installed the service 1 pack to Windows 7 on my Dell Inspiron 15R Laptop, my Data Safe Local Back up hangs and aborts with a

"An unhandled exception occured Application will exit" message".

On clicking show problem details on the Dell Data Safe Local back up has stopped working pop-up,

Dell Support when contacted uninstalled and re-installed the program twice but with no success. The only suggestion they could give me was to reinstall the operating system Windows 7. I refused as it would entail hours of reinstalling not only windows with its assoicted updates but also all the applications like MS Office, McAffee Anti-virus, etc. Besides, if there is an inherent bug in the software, there is no guarantee the error would not recurr. 

Could Dell not look at the error logs and supply a patch to Data Safe Local Backup software itself.
