Dell window

When ever I start my puter the dell window (folder) comes up with a number of sub folders in it.
Example of sub folders are, drivers, media etc.... I have looked and can not figure out how to keep this window from comming up at start up. I really don`t want it comming up for the wrong person and having them mess with content or deleting by accident. The puter is only 1 month old and is a demension 8400 with XP pro os. Any ideas ?

See if it’s referenced in the Startup. If so, remove it:

    Hope this helps!

It's known that if Windows System32 folder opens automatically on boot up, there's a registry problem. So if the Dell folder isn't just listed in your Startup, have a look at this for hints at where to look for a solution:

Well I can`t find the window in the registry anywhere, the pathway is simply C/programs/Dell but am unable to find it. Something I am missing here. Will try the addy on the second reply. Thank you all for your help.

Hmmmm, well I found it in C drive under programs and moved it into windows to see if it would stop it from comming up. It did and the only thing so far I can see it doing is messing up the Dell shortcut on desk top for "dell support". Thanks for all you assistance.

Right click the desk top icon for Dell Support and select properties. When the window opens you can type in the new path manually, or click 'find target' and navigate to it. That will fix the icon.
