Drivers for usb 2.0?

Hi!
I own a dimension 2400 and I had to re-install windows XP last week. I formatted my hard drive and then proceeded to the installation. Everything is fine now except that my usb ports are detected as 1.0 (well, the slow one) and not 2.0 .

Are there any drivers I could download so they get detected as usb 2.0?

Thank you!

Did you install the chipset drivers for your motherboard as the first devices installed after reinstalling Windows?  Are there any devices shown in Device Mangager as "Problem Devices"?  Did you perform the Windows Critical Update to SP2 after reinstalling Windows?

Yes, I installed the chipset drivers (which I downloaded from dell's website)

And yes, my usb bus controller is shown as a problem device... here's an image :

I didn't install SP2 because I've experienced some difficulty while running under service pack 2, plus some of the program I use don't work under SP2...

    thanks again

You must use at least SP1 in order to have USB 2.0 functionality.

It's true that the native drivers are not included in xp prior to sp1. You do not have to install sp1 though, you can download the usb drivers from intel's site.
