Can you please help in assisting me to fix this error, internet explorer had to close, we apologize for the inconvenience. I've tried re-downloading internet explorer but the "error message" keeps coming ups still. I have even gone through and used my Win. XP CD to reinstall internet explorer to no success in fixing the problem. I've been in contact with dell and for some reason it has not been resolved for over a month now. I called last evening and spoke with Kathy in Tech. Support and she had me try to do some retrieving and repairing my settings but that did not work. I was guaranteed a phone call back today at 1pm and never received a call back.
Have you ever uninstalled the old version and using the copy that came with your PC instead of just putting a new copy over the top??
It sounds like to me the problem maybe something deeper than the Internet Explorer. I would suggest downloading Spy-bot (searches and kills spyware) and running that. You may have some program inside the Internet Explorer which is causing the problem. I have seen this before.
Thanx for responding. Yes, I have actually tried reinstalling the Internet Explorer with the cd that came with my computer but that doesn't seem to help the problem go away. I recently discovered the only time that the Error seems to come up is when I shut the window of internet explorer while I have my ad muncher enabled. When I disable my ad muncher, the error doesn't appear. So, no matter what, I either get a pop-up of some sort with either an error to report or a various website pop-up.
What would u suggest in this case uninstalling ad muncher?
