Ever since Windows XP SP3 updates

With the recent Windows Xp Sp3 updates, my server will no longer allow ZoneAlarm to work and I cannot get on the internet at all.  so I am having to use the Windows XP firewall alone.  Do you think this is safe enough? Should I delete Zone Alarm and switch to something else?

I also just upgraded to the latest AVG anti-virus, which seems to do a lot more than the previous software.

Would appreciate your opinions.

Many thanks!

I apologize that I did not see the other thread.  I really should have taken more time to look and see if there was an issue. I guess I thought I was the only one because of my server. I feel rather narcissitic at this point..eep.

Anyway, I appreciate all your help and the problem was fixed due to all your kind replies, suggestions and patience.

    Many thanks again!

Glad it's all sorted out my friend..

That one had me baffled too; I had Zone Alarm running here too!!  I might have even sprouted a couple more gray hairs, lol...:smileysurprised:

Yes, you all greatly helped me. here I thought I was the only one on the planet having this trouble because when I called my server, they all said that MC's latest updates were not compatible with ZA or my server.

You all are so wonderful, kind and patient! I already had more grey hairs than I would have liked! LOL

My hubby does not at all like to mess with any issues with our computer, so it is left up to me...the greenhorn from Arizona, trying to do my best.

    Many thanks again!

We've got something in common... I'm a bit of a greenhorn too, (still learning new things) but I'm in Massachusetts...:smileyhappy:

Take care and have a great weekend...
