Flash not working anymore...

The past few days, when I go to a site that uses macromedia flash, the section of the site just stays blank. At the bottom of IE, it just says "2 items remaining" and the explorer logo in the top right keeps spinning. (For example, my homepage at comcast.net and espn.com)

The only thing I've done in the past few days, is uninstall and re-install norton because it started to run slow.

Comcast is my ISP, and I called them and was told to goto www.macromediaflash/go/getflash to get the update, but the same thing happens where it dosn't load. Comcast said there is an issue with Norton and Flash, so I uninstalled Norton again, but still couldn't get the update from the flash site. Any ideas would be great.

thanks

I could not find the site you quote, but download for macromedia flash is here

    http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

It works fine for me with Norton 2003 AV.

Do you have other Norton software?

that is part of the problem, I can't seem to install it over. On the macromedia.com site, i go to download the flash, but nothing happens, it just seems to get hung up.

I will give that link a shot when I get home. I've tried to download the uninstaller from the macromedia site, but it won't let me, saying "IE can't open this site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found."

I figure uninstalling it would be the best thing to do, now i have to find away to do it.

    thanks

I don't think you need to uninstall Macromedia flash. Just install the latest version, it will overwrite whatever version you have.
