Help me? :)

Hello, I have been having problems with my search engines on MSN and Yahoo. The only one that works for me is Iwon but when I search on Msn and Yahoo I get the message "Page cannot be found". I download Adware and Spybot and even though they helped me out, the search engines still do not work. Does anyone have any other suggestions or ideas.

Thanks,

Tara

Since you have Spybot use its  Tools > Hosts file  , it should only show   localhost     127.0.0.1
If it shows other sites with  127.0.0.1   they are blocked & should be removed by using  Run  &  type
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC        then click OK or press Enter key.
Then double click on  Hosts file  , check "Select the program......"    & select   "Notepad"
Delete extra site lines leaving     localhost      127.0.0.1
    Close by clicking  X  ,  & Save.

Sypbot Immunize  can then be used to Lock Hosts file from further sites being added.

Thank you. I tried what you said but I saw no other sites that came up with 127.0.0.1 :( I don't know what could be wrong.

I suggested in reply to your other post that you look at the message from ChrisRLG at the top of this forum or at the top of the Virus Information and Removal forum.  Did you follow through with the part concerning downloading HijackThis and posting the output log from HijackThis in one of the spyware removal forums?  Spyware and interent parasites and hijackers are evolving so rapidly these days, that the spyware removal software cannot keep up with them.  Sometimes it is necessary to manually remove the things.  HijackThis can help the experts in the spyware removal forums find and provide advice on removal.  It sound to me like you really need to follow through with the HijackThis option.
