I have Windows XP with service pack 2. Somehow the icons under "Start" have decreased in size. (This happened after I downloaded a game, Burger Island, and the time expired, automatically disconnecting me from the game.) How do I get them back to normal size?
At first all of my desktop, program and Start icons were enlarged, and I got a message stating that I need to unpin my icons so that I can fit them all in the start menu. (I'm not sure how to do that, soo I selected Start, Properties, then, "Customize," then "number of programs on Start Menu" to make more room. I entered "4," changing it from the default of "6." Two of the programs were removed from the list, but the size of the remaining icons decreased in size, taking up less space on Start. When I returned the settings to "6" the icons were still small. (I realize that this may not have been the right method; however, it did get rid of the Windows message to unpin some icons.)
What can I do to restore the icons on "Start" to their normal size. By the way, the other icons (on the desktop and other programs) returned to their normal size and pixels after I restarted the computer.
Thanks, changing to Large icon did help!! (I didn't think that it would help because when it was set to large icons before, when the game ended, the icons were huge, so I thought that by selecting "Large," the icons would be even larger.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. I wish all computer problems were this easy to fix!
