What do you mean by "it doesn't work"?  Do you mean the program will not initialize (start) or that you can't access the internet?

If it's just that you can't access the internet, most likely your firewall software is blocking it.

Out of curiosity, cause i've run into this before- are you using Mcaffee virus protection?

Brand me a troll, but I consider this to be a feature. (loyal FF user and web developer, abhor IE7).

But we can't live without it, as even I can't signmy timecard without it, so let's see what it could be.

Double-click 'My Computer'... does that come up?

Go to START-->RUN (or click the windows key and R) and enter the command 'iexplore' without the quotes, how about now?

Have you tried using System Restore? The few times I have seen this (due to profiule corruption) this has worked, which is why I don't disable it like I used to.
