internet options
When i click on tools in Internet Explorer and then on internet options, a message comes up saying that operation has been cancelled due to a restriction on my computer. I can't seem to change this. I have a dimension 4400 with windows xp. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This might seem like a daft question but are you using Spybot S&D , because this has a tool on it that stops you from accessing internet options from within IE to stop hijackers from changing your settings.You can access them from the control panel.hobbes4588

i am using spybot s&d. i did get my problem fixed. thanks everyone for their help

Several "mallware" applications can cause this to happen.
