I have a 1721 inspiron laptop and on it it has Easy Media Creator 9 (OEM VERSION) When I use the Plug & Burn software or Create a DVD the message appears INSTALL MPEG-2 CODEC. CLICK OK TO ACTIVATE. I CLICK OK. Then this message appears ERROR- BAD INSTALLATION. I cannot remove it then re-install it has no disc came with the PC. I have been to the Roxio website and downloaded the latest patch, but this did not work either. Does anybody out there have a solution for me?
