Does anyone know what would prevent IE from accessing ebay? Other computers in my home can access ebay but mine can't. Even if I type
www.ebay.com in the window in says "Page can't be found" I can get to all other sites and all my Favorites seem to be working. My network is fine. This began yesterday morning.
Anyone else have problems with ebay?
Thanks in advance.

when i clicked ebay icon on desktop and it went to website and wont open ebay as saying "long live votf! " so i assume that is hacker that caused it ? how can i clear the browser cache from where?
but other way i typed in web site ebay works fine but not direct from ebay icon that dell installed for me when i ordered new laptop previously. so it looks weird and cant repair it cuz theres no ebay restore on dell support drivers and download section.
This happened to me today also with my eBay icon on my Favorites toolbar. If you right click on the eBay icon & click on properties, you can re-type the correct website address & it will solve the problem. I don't know if anything else was done during the hack, but this will solve that issue.
the same thing today has happened to me. im not exactly sure what happened. i can type in ebays address but cant click the icon in the tray. cant alter the address either so i just deleted it. but i am curious as to the cause of this.
Same thing happened to me. I clicked on the ebay icon and got that white screen with the "I love...". Did a virus scan (no help), downloaded malabyesware (no help), did a system restore (no help), clicked on ebay icon and right clicked properties...did restore to previous working version (no help), tried to type in the correct URL (no help).
I really want that cute ebay icon as I can't find it online anywhere. anyone?

Since this just started happening, so a System Restore to a date/time prior to it happening and see if that fixes it.
Another thought, do a spyware scan in case e-bay got "hi-jacked".
