Problems adding network printer

I am not sure why my Inspiron 6000 quit printing to my Dimension 4600's Lexmark printer. Even though the network printer is listed in the printers and faxes window, documents never print or show up in the queue when I click print. I have tried reinstalling the printer, and when I click on browse for printer on the microsoft windows network, it just hangs forever.  If I manually type in the \\servername\printer it finds the Lexmark and starts installing the driver. Now everything looks normal, but I still can't print from my Inspiron, which is on a wireless connection. Turning off firewalls doesn't help, and what is frustrating is that a month ago I could browse for the network printer and my Dimension would pop up in the root menu immediately. There has to be some kind of setting that was changed to cause this. I can add network places and map network drives between the Inspiron and Dimension, so why should the printer be acting up this way? The printer prints absolutely normal from the Dimension....

thanks

Have you tried adding the Inspiron 6000 IP address to the Firewall's trusted IP addresses?  Does the Dimension 4600 appear when you click on VIEW WORKGROUP COMPUTERS?
