PROGRAMS WON'T LOAD! HELP!

Hey everyone, some odd reason from time to time, my programs won't load, i mean it loads in the task manager but not on the desktop, if you catch my drift, whats causing this?

    I do if you mean it shows on the Launch Bar (not Task Manager) and not on the desktop. If this is the case right-click on the program's desktop icon, select "Properties", select "Run", click on the drop-down box and select "Maximized".
