    If your monitor is hibernating?

If your monitor is on standby, then the virus scan will run.
If your computer is hibernating, then it is effectively off and the virus scan will not run.

omg  i have always been having it go off after 2 minutes
at nite and it is supposed to scan at 8 am every other day
but i just got to thinking that would it still do this if monitor
is off?  and you said no  wow i am glad nothing has
happend so far   yikes (Ihope) cuz that is what i have been
doing i thought since all i have to do is move mouse a litte
to start it up again then the scan would work too. hmm
well then i better do a stand by instead  thanks alot

I think you are confusing the monitor being on standby, with the computer being in hibernation mode.

What you described (moving the mouse to turn the monitor back on) suggests that your monitor was already going onto standby mode and when you move the mouse returns to on mode. This would not happen if the computer is in hibernation mode (well unless you have a Wake on Keyboard/Mouse option on, which i doubt.

Just answer this question and i can tell you for sure. When your monitor is 'hibernating', is the power light on your computer still on? If it is then your monitor is on standby, if it isn't then your computer is hibernating.
