San_Test

Hi,

Just under C:\   I have a temporary file called "san_test"

This is a 260 Mo File ....

This file has been Created in June 2003 and seems to be still accessed ... (last access today ...)

Do you know if I can delete it without any problem ?

Where does this file comes from ?

Thanks a lot for your answers

Best regards

san_test.tmp? Do you have SiSoft Sandra installed? It looks like that is a tmp file that contains the results of a SiSoft Sandra scan. Yes, you can delete it.

if you do some research about the "missing ntldr" problem, you will see that, according to ms, the problem is caused by programs storing files in "c", like the one you are talking about.. it looks to me like sandra's sisoft is likely the primary culprit..  http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;320397

In my quick search, I saw mention of file sizes up to 500+Meg. I guess SiSoft just keeps adding to it rather than replacing it with each new scan.

Please reread the article, it does not say exactly what you think it says.  To "jlazarus"   you said "Just under C:\   I have a temporary file called "san_test" the term temporary files call "sans_test"".  I do not understand why you use the term temporary.
