Slowing system

Have had a ton of small issues with my XPS700.  Latest one is a problem of both boot time and "fully loaded" time.  I havent changed my habits and programs much in the last 3-4 years so it isnt something new

Essentially once I get XP loading screen it kind of crawls for about 1 min then get desktop which takes up to 3 mins to load - sometimes more with hourglass hanging around for quite some time

Than - interesting problem, the first time I use IE7 it is taking about 1-2 mins to connect to my router and bring up my homepage (Works ok after that)

Any ideas?

After three to four years, a fresh install of the Os would work wonders for you.

    I wasnt real clear.

The XPS700 is 3 mos old.  The issue seems to be that while loading (after desktop comes up), the hourglass just sits there and sits there.  If I double click on something it may strtup in 1-2 mins or I may have to go back and click again

One thing is the list of processes is really long.  Used to use Black Viper to ID but he is long gone

HAVE RUN Adaware and a ton of others - no issues

One other symptom is that it takes IE forever to load the first time (Didnt used to) but after that it is fine

A spyware scan would be in order.
