Hi
I just formatted my pc and re-installed all the software that was provided with my dell system
Now i am only able to burn VCD's with My DVD it wont let me burn to DVD as the option is not even avaliable.
Anyone had the same problems? anyways to get around it?
The DVD burner may have been installed as a CD drive. Uninstall the DVD burner in the Windows Device Manager then restart Windows and it will be detected and reinstalled. That fixes many CD/DVD drive problems.

I just had the same problem, but didn't know why I couldn't burn to a DVD. I thought the VCD would play on a DVD player, but after burning to a CD-RW discovered it wouldn't play on a DVD or another computer. If I try uninstalling the burner what if it doesn't re-install? I didn't have to format the pc but I did have to reinstate it to factory specs for my dsl connection. I had not looked at MyDVD prior to that so don't know if it changed, but it is supposed to be MyDVD Plus & it only says My DVD when you open it.
