Sonic RecordNow Deluxe CD only installs RecordNow Plus
I just got my new dimendion and I'm verifying everything works. I noticed that the RecordNow Deluxe I spend extra for was not installed and instead it was the RecordNow Plus (a lesser version).
I rechecked my order and it indicates the Deluxe.
I found a CD labelled "for reinstalling Sonic RecordNow 7.3 Deluxe Software". I tried that and it still reinstalled the Plus version.
I hunted through the files on the CD and it appears that it is a mislabeled Plus CD there is no file on the disk that says Deluxe.
Any ideas on how to track down a human being at Dell? They seem pretty hard to find. This was not the Dell I dealt with a few years ago. Service USED TO be the reason to buy from dell. Now there is only an email address and a stupid automated response.
I was just going through the exact same thing with my new 8400 - record now deluxe is installed as "plus" - I also have a cd for record now LE - is this "plus" version what I paid for?
Dell disappointed? Hmmmm. I'm in the same boat. Last night I discovered that the Targus PA090 'USB port replicator' not only doesn't have a monitor port, but it also runs at USB 1.1 *only* and just randomly stops working. Targus has discontinued it, but Dell still sells it at full price.
Now it seems they are selling demo-grade software as deluxe. Did you have to call and wait on hold? I thought my 'Express Service' number would eliminate that. No luck.
