SP1 installation problems: Need clarification

Hi,

My system is XPS 1530, windows vista home premium. I recently installed SP1 for vista, the system started malfunctioning, so i ran a chkdsk, this were the problems found; 1) Volume Bitmap is incorrect

(2) Found problems with file system.

So i ran this cmd sfc /scannow, this were the problems found; 1)Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them, prblems has been transfered to CBS Logs. Run chkdsk /f this refuse to run on schedule with cmd or using check disk.

also on generating system health report, warning was that my disk is at its highest bit rate 8, does it mean anything?

Pls i need to know the next step and explanation for such problems.

Thanks for your support

MS is offering free tech support for sp1.  You can email them, chat, or contact by telephone.  Check the top of this board for the details.  Sorry I could not provide any other assistance, but maybe someone else can.
