Sysprep GX270 XP Professional

I am trying to create an image for a GX270 with XP Pro SP2.

When i install the OS straight from my Dell disk it isn't asking for my product key or activation which i expect. But when i run the sysprep it asks for my product key after i reboot and if i enter the right key it doesn't activate.

we have creating images before and never had this problem.

The motherboard has been replaced but i would of thought if this was the problem it would ask me for my product key when i install it straight from disk aswell.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Jason

In most cases the Dell version of the XP installation disk uses a volume license key to automatically activate the installation on a qualifying system.

Perhaps it will work if you replace the volume license key with the individual license key before running SysPrep.
