Since my Dell Warranty ran out,my system restore will not work at all anymore.Does this mean that when your warranty runs out Dell takes away your system restore options also.If so then people should stop buying Dell computers because I know of no other computer makers that take that option away from the buyer.
I use to have an issue with system restore and it ended up being Norton AnitVirus the problem. Opend NAV if you have it and options then click on Norton AntiVirus and then click Miscellaneous and then unclick the Turn protection on for my Symantec product. Just make sure when you are done that you go back here and turn it on. I don't know why this happens but my system restore wasn't doing a sucesfull restoration but when I did this it worked for me at least. It might not even be this your problem but you can try.
SYstem restore will only work if you have a good restore point. If your system is less than 2 years old, you should also have a PC restore function that will restore your system to like new. Of course it removes all your data and user installed programs. Click this link for an explanation.

System is probably so fouled up that even restore is broken. At this point you will need the System CDs.
