Transfering Files

I have an Optiplex GX240 and a Dimension.  I want to transfer all files from the (XP Pro) to the other (XP Home). Without buying software to relocate this information nor using a router and changing both Workgroup names to match, is there a way in which I can use a crossover cable to do the job?   Thank you.

    Jikonn,

XP's Files and Settings Transfer Wizard will do the job. For further information go to Start|All Programs|Accessories|System Tools|Files and Settings Transfer Wizard and click the "connecting your computers" link on the first page of the wizard.

Yes you can purchase a network crossover cable then just plug it into the network card(s) of the two computers you wish to transfer between. Bada-bing!
