Hello and I hope I am in the right forum.

 

I installed IE7 and could not "see" any broswe buttons to upload pix etc from my hard drive to a file manager I have with paulding.

Soo.......Wrote to dell support they sd uninstall the IE7 and install Mozilla Foxfire (which I did and it solved the upload thing. GREAT! :-).

 

Then I saw the IE that is still in my computer  (i don't know how to tell the number) of it  never showed a little gold lock when at a secure https site. So I used firefox for secure sites instead(No problem)I wrote Dell support about the security IE but they alluded it to McAfee Firewall as the possible problem.I ran the McAfee virtual tech and it give me a clean no problem scan.I did windows spywear Defender all is well there also.I feel I am at risk even if I DO NOT use the IE I have.Any ideas here are appreciated. I am not a Guru/tech but hope someone can help.Please excuse this long post

PS I suspected a Java Script problem also but don't know a thing about it where or how to check
